Guwahati, 09 July (HS): The Assam Pradesh BJP on Thursday termed Raijor Dal president Akhil Gogoi's protest over the alleged syndicate issue as a political drama, alleging that the campaign is aimed at misleading the public.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP state headquarters, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, party spokesperson Kamal Kumar Medhi claimed that Gogoi has become restless after the alleged crackdown on syndicates in the state. He further described the Raijor Dal leader as a blackmailer and accused him of attempting to create unnecessary controversy for political mileage.----------
