Banda, 09 July (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party at a public rally
in Banda on Thursday. He said that before 2017, during the Samajwadi Party
government in the state, Bundelkhand was suffering from backwardness. At that
time, goons, mafias and dacoits were dominant in the region. Instead of
providing employment to the youth, they were given guns in their hands. Today,
under the BJP government, Bundelkhand is becoming a major center of the
country's security through the Defense Corridor and the youth here will work on
making Brahmos missiles. He said that when India fires Brahmos, even Pakistan
cries out. He said that Bundelkhand is developing rapidly and will soon be made
a heaven on earth.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was addressing the public on
Thursday after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 229 projects
worth Rs 710 crore at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College ground in Banda district.
Chief Minister Yogi said that due to the policies of the BJP government, new
investment possibilities have emerged in Bundelkhand and migration has been
stopped. Under the One District-One Product scheme, Banda's Shajar
stone is today creating its own identity in the country and abroad and is being
counted among precious gems. He said that Bundelkhand is going to get a big
gift in the form of BIDA, which will create extensive employment opportunities
here in the future and youth will come here not to ask for jobs, but to get
jobs.
The Chief Minister stated that both development and heritage
are the BJP's priorities. He added that this journey of development has been
possible only because of good public representatives. In the future, whatever
development project proposals public representatives bring, the government will
promote them and make Bundelkhand one of the most developed regions in the
country.
He said that if this continuity of development is broken,
future generations will never forgive. Targeting the SP MLA from Baberu, the
Chief Minister said that he has no interest in development. Robbing the rights
of the poor is his development model, which will be stopped at all costs. Yogi
Adityanath questioned why statues of great figures like Maharana Pratap and
warrior Avantibai were not installed earlier, and why the Bundelkhand
Expressway was not built. He said that after becoming Chief Minister in 2017,
64,000 acres of government land was freed from the clutches of mafias, on which
new development and investment projects are now taking place. The Chief Minister
said that the BJP government integrates heritage and development. Today, work
is being done on the preservation of temples and the development of religious
sites, whereas previous governments prioritized the development of graveyards.
This is why some people oppose the development of temples and religious
heritage.
He said that Banda is working to honor its heroes and
heroines. He explained that he arrived in Banda after circumambulating Lord
Kamatnath in Chitrakoot. He said that some people, instead of respecting the
country's cultural heritage, have made it their goal to insult it. They dislike
the Ram Temple, Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Maa Vindhyavasini Dham, and the
development work being done in Chitrakoot.
The Chief Minister said that the BJP government does not
engage in appeasement politics, but rather ensures that the benefits of
government schemes reach all eligible individuals without discrimination. The
safety of businessmen and daughters is the government's top priority. The law
has established strict measures for those who attempt to compromise their security.
At the end of the meeting, the Chief Minister stated that
good public representatives are a guarantee of development. Today, Bundelkhand
is home to numerous development projects, including a medical college, an
agricultural university, and an engineering college. He added that if public
representatives are honest and development-oriented, the region will progress.
However, if bandits and criminals win, they will rob projects and seize the
land of the poor. Therefore, selecting the right public representatives is
crucial for a bright future for the state and Bundelkhand.
On this occasion, Minister in charge of the district Dinesh
Pratap Singh, Minister of State for Jal Shakti Ramkesh Nishad, Minister of
State for PWD Kunwar Brijesh Singh, Sadar MLA Banda Prakash Dwivedi, Naraini
MLA Om Mani Verma, District Panchayat President Sunil Singh Patel, Legislative
Council members Babulal Tiwari and Jitendra Singh Sengar, regional president of
the party Ramkishore Sahu, district president of the party Kallu Singh Rajput,
