
New Delhi, 09 July (H.S.): Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with several Chief Ministers and Union Ministers, extended greetings on the Foundation Day of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the world's largest student organisation. They praised the organisation's contribution to nation-building, student welfare, and the promotion of social awareness.
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said the ABVP, inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, has been uniting the youth and instilling a strong sense of patriotism among students. He said that from opposing the Emergency to addressing national challenges such as illegal infiltration in the northeastern region, the organisation has consistently encouraged young people to play a leading role in safeguarding national interests. He expressed confidence that the ABVP would continue to inspire future generations to place the nation's interests above all else.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari described the ABVP as an organisation guided by nationalist ideals and said it has continuously inspired India's youth to dedicate themselves to national service and nation-building.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that, driven by the spirit of Nation First, the ABVP has, for decades, inspired students to embrace public service, leadership, and social responsibility. He expressed confidence that the organisation would continue its distinguished journey of serving both students and the nation with renewed enthusiasm.
Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju described the ABVP as an organisation rooted in Indian culture, the nation's knowledge traditions, and the values of unity and integrity. He said the organisation continues to make significant contributions towards character-building among youth and community service.
Union Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recalled his own association with the ABVP and said the organisation had transformed the course of his life. He said it taught him to live not only for himself but also for the nation and society. Recalling the organisation's guiding motto, Knowledge, Character and Unity are the Hallmarks of the Parishad, he conveyed his best wishes to all its members.
Union Health and Family Welfare Minister and former BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda said the ABVP has carried forward Swami Vivekananda's vision of national reconstruction by nurturing among young people the values of national service, duty, and social upliftment. He also referred to his own long association with the organisation as a full-time worker.
BJP National President Nitin Nabin said the ABVP has played a significant role in strengthening the country's future by cultivating the spirit of Nation First, cultural awareness, and leadership qualities among students.
Union Jal Shakti Minister C. R. Patil said the organisation has provided positive direction to student power by embracing the values of education, organisational strength, nation-building, and social responsibility.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the ABVP as an organisation that has been positively guiding the nation's youth through the ideals of Knowledge, Character and Unity. He wished the organisation continued success in the years ahead.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the ABVP has played an important role in instilling nationalism, discipline, and a spirit of service during student life. She added that the values she imbibed through the organisation remain one of the greatest assets of her public life, and that its members are making a meaningful contribution towards the vision of a developed India.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said the ABVP has made remarkable contributions to nation-building, the protection of students' interests, and bringing positive change to the education sector. He extended his greetings to all members of the organisation and students on the occasion of its Foundation Day.
