Guwahati, 07 July (HS): Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker Ranjit Kumar Das on Tuesday announced that if any MLA repeats before the media any word or remark that has either not been recorded in the Assembly proceedings or has been expunged by the House, it will be treated as a breach of the Assembly's privilege.

The Speaker also warned that media organisations broadcasting or publishing such expunged or unrecorded remarks could also come under the ambit of breach of privilege.

Ranjit Kumar Das made the announcement during the proceedings of the Assam Legislative Assembly, stressing the need to uphold the dignity and privileges of the House.----------
