
Srinagar, 07 July (H.S.): Security forces on monday busted a major militant hideout in the Keran sector of north Kashmir's Kupwara district, recovering five AK-series rifles, a hand grenade and a large cache of ammunition, Army said.
They said a search operation was launched by the Army in the general area of the Keran sector following a specific intelligence input.
During search, security forces busted a hideout and recovered five AK Series Rifles, nine AK magazines, one hand grenade, a huge cache of ammunition and other war-like stores.

Official sources said security forces have intensified searches in the area to ascertain whether any militants were present nearby and to rule out the existence of additional hideouts.
