Gold Prices Ease Across India Despite Strong Weekly Gains; Silver Also Slips

Gold prices declined across most domestic bullion markets on Sunday, making the precious metal cheaper by ₹260 to ₹280 per 10 grams in most cities, except Chennai, where prices fell by ₹100 to ₹110 per 10 grams. Silver prices also witnessed a marginal decline of up to ₹100 per kilogram.

Following the decline, 24-carat gold was trading between ₹1,46,730 and ₹1,49,460 per 10 grams in most bullion markets across the country. Similarly, 22-carat gold was priced between ₹1,34,500 and ₹1,37,000 per 10 grams. In the Delhi bullion market, silver was quoted at ₹2,50,000 per kilogram after the slight correction.

Despite Sunday's decline, both gold and silver registered strong gains on a weekly basis. During the past week's trading, the price of 24-carat gold rose by as much as ₹2,780 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold gained up to ₹2,550 per 10 grams. Silver also ended the week higher despite fluctuations, recording a weekly increase of up to ₹10,000 per kilogram.

In Delhi, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,46,880 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,34,650 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, 24-carat gold was selling at ₹1,46,730 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,34,500 per 10 grams. In Ahmedabad, retail prices stood at ₹1,46,780 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold and ₹1,34,550 per 10 grams for 22-carat gold.

Among other major cities, Chennai recorded 24-carat gold at ₹1,49,460 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,37,000 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,46,730 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,34,500 per 10 grams. In Bhopal, prices stood at ₹1,46,780 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold and ₹1,34,550 per 10 grams for 22-carat gold.

In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,46,880 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,34,650 per 10 grams. Patna recorded prices of ₹1,46,780 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold and ₹1,34,550 per 10 grams for 22-carat gold. In Lucknow, 24-carat gold was selling at ₹1,46,880 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,34,650 per 10 grams.

Gold prices also declined in the bullion markets of Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha. In Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,46,730 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,34,500 per 10 grams.
