Lucknow, 04 July (HS): The Uttar Pradesh government, under
the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is taking another important
initiative towards the social and economic empowerment of teachers. On July 8,
a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between the
Basic Education Department and the State Bank of India (SBI) at the Hastkala
Sankul (Trade Facilitation Center) in Varanasi in the presence of Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath. The Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical
Scheme will also be launched at this event. The agreement aims to further
strengthen the socio-economic security of the department's permanent and
contractual employees.
State Minister of State for Basic Education (Independent
Charge) Sandeep Singh said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath, our government is continuously working for the welfare of teachers.
The MoU and the launch of the Chief Minister's Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme
in Varanasi on July 8 will further empower the teaching community socially and
economically. This scheme will provide cashless treatment to millions of
teachers and contractual employees in the state and relieve them of financial
worries in emergency situations.
According to instructions issued by Director General of
School Education and State Project Director Monica Rani, parallel to the
state-level program, programs will be organized in all districts under the
chairmanship of the District Magistrate and at tehsil headquarters under the
chairmanship of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate. The MoU between the State Bank
of India and the Basic Education Department will be widely publicized at these
programs so that as many teachers and employees as possible can become aware of
this initiative. All District Basic Education Officers have been instructed to
coordinate with local State Bank of India officials and ensure their
participation in district-level programs. Effective publicity should also be
provided regarding the objectives and benefits of the MoU.
