Guwahati, 04 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said that a house is not merely a structure of bricks and cement but a symbol of security, dignity and dreams for every family.

In a social media post, the Chief Minister stated that over the last 10 years, the Assam Government has invested ₹27,730 crore to help transform the dream of permanent housing into reality for lakhs of families across the state.

Highlighting the state's achievement under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, Sarma said Assam has secured the second position in the country in the release and utilisation of PMAY-G funds, calling it another proud milestone reflecting the state's development trajectory.-----------
