Hyderabad, July 31 (HS): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced that the state government will provide social security pensions to all eligible persons suffering from Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Anaemia.

During a review meeting with officials of the Panchayat Raj Department, the Chief Minister directed them to identify eligible beneficiaries and complete the process of sanctioning the pensions.

According to an official release issued late Thursday night, Reddy instructed officials to commence distribution of the social security pensions to the identified beneficiaries from August 15.

He also directed the officials to expedite the identification process to ensure that all eligible patients receive the benefit without delay.
