Hyderabad, July 31 (HS): The Telangana government has extended the deadline for completing e-KYC for ration card holders from July 31 to August 31 to facilitate beneficiaries who are yet to complete the process.
According to the Civil Supplies Department, the extension has been granted in view of heavy rains and the ongoing Special Summary Revision of electoral rolls.
The department has informed district authorities about the revised deadline and directed them to ensure its implementation. Beneficiaries who have not yet completed their e-KYC have been advised to avail of the extended period.
Officials said the decision was taken to minimise inconvenience to the public during the monsoon season while ensuring timely completion of the verification process.
Ration card holders have also been advised to complete their e-KYC at the earliest and collect their three-month ration quota for August, September and October in a single allotment from their nearest fair price shop between August 1 and August 31.
