Guwahati, 31 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday said that the state government's historic decision to protect Satra land and preserve the heritage of all religious institutions over 250 years old has received a warm welcome from various sections of society.

In a social media post, the Chief Minister said the initiative is aimed at safeguarding Assam's sacred heritage, culture and unique identity. He noted that the decision would lay a strong foundation for preserving the state's rich legacy for future generations.

Dr. Sarma also shared that the move has been welcomed by the President of the Batadrava Than Management Committee and Satradhikar of Narowa Satra, Sri Amlan Jyoti Dev Goswami, who expressed his appreciation and support for the government's initiative to protect Assam's religious and cultural heritage.---------------
