New Delhi, 30 July (H.S.): Opposition once again locked horns in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday amid repeated disruptions during the Monsoon Session of Parliament. Speaking during Zero Hour, Leader of the House and Union Minister J.P. Nadda said the government was fully prepared to discuss every issue raised by the Opposition. However, he accused the Opposition of adopting an irresponsible approach by disrupting House proceedings instead of participating in meaningful debate.

Nadda said the Opposition had played a negative role throughout the session. He asserted that the government was willing to hold discussions on every subject, but described the Opposition's continued attempts to stall the functioning of the House as condemnable.

Meanwhile, Congress MP Pramod Tiwari said in the Rajya Sabha that the Opposition wanted the House to function smoothly, but insisted that Union Home Minister Amit Shah make a statement in the House regarding the police action against student protesters.

Following Tiwari's demand, Opposition MPs raised slogans of Amit Shah, come to the House, triggering a fresh uproar in the Rajya Sabha. Amid persistent protests by Opposition members, the proceedings continued despite repeated disruptions.

Opposition MPs also raised several other issues in the House, including concerns related to sugarcane farmers and a demand for the implementation of the One Nation, One Metro Card initiative.
