New Delhi, 30 July (H.S.): The ceremonial Change of Guard event held at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan will not be conducted on August 1 and August 8 in view of rehearsals for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations.

According to an official statement issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday, the Change of Guard ceremony has been suspended on both dates due to the rehearsal schedule for the Independence Day celebrations.

Under normal circumstances, the ceremonial event is held regularly at the Rashtrapati Bhavan forecourt. However, it has been temporarily suspended to facilitate preparations and rehearsals for the national celebrations marking Independence Day.

The statement added that once the Independence Day rehearsal programme is completed, the Change of Guard ceremony will resume as per its regular schedule.
