New Delhi, 30 July (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a crucial meeting of senior Union ministers at Parliament House on Thursday as proceedings in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha remained adjourned until 2:00 p.m. due to disruptions by the Opposition. The meeting focused on parliamentary strategy and the government's upcoming legislative agenda.

According to sources, the meeting was attended by Union Ministers Piyush Goyal, Nirmala Sitharaman, Kiren Rijiju, J.P. Nadda, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, along with several other senior members of the government. The primary agenda was to formulate a strategy for ensuring the smooth functioning of Parliament and advancing key legislative business during the ongoing Monsoon Session.

The Monsoon Session has witnessed repeated disruptions due to sloganeering and protests by Opposition parties. On Thursday as well, Opposition members created an uproar in both Houses over the alleged question paper leak and police action against students.

The Opposition demanded the presence of the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister in Parliament, leading to the adjournment of proceedings in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha until the afternoon.

During the meeting, senior ministers deliberated on the government's parliamentary strategy, including ways to respond to the Opposition's protests and ensure the passage of important legislative bills. Sources indicated that the meeting could result in key decisions regarding the government's approach for the remainder of the Monsoon Session.
