Prayagraj, 30 July (HS): Ayushi Verma, a PhD Research

Scholar under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Neeru Bala in the Department of Food

Nutrition and Public Health at SHUATS, Prayagraj, has achieved a significant

milestone with the publication of her Indian patent titled Nutritional

Composition, Antibacterial and Antioxidant Properties of Black Turmeric Based

on Herbal Brew. This achievement reflects our commitment to developing

innovative, science-based herbal products from traditional medicinal plants, as

well as functional foods and nutraceuticals, at SHUATS.

Congratulating the scholar, their supervisor, and the

department, SHUATS Vice-Chancellor Prof. Jonathan A. Lal stated that this

achievement is tangible proof of the outstanding research, innovation,

dedication, and hard work being undertaken by the university.

The research of Ayushi Verma highlights the potential of

traditional medicinal plants in promoting health and wellness. The publication

of this patent marks an important step toward new opportunities for future

scientific research and the development of value-added herbal products and

commercialization of indigenous herbal products.
