INDIA Alliance Staged Protest

New Delhi, 30 July (H.S.): Opposition leaders from the INDIA alliance staged a protest inside the Parliament House complex on Thursday over the alleged question paper leak, police action against students, and the alleged use of pellet guns. Opposition Members of Parliament raised slogans and displayed large placards to voice their protest.

The demonstration was attended by several Opposition leaders, including Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, K.C. Venugopal, Dharmendra Yadav, Sanjay Raut, and Kishori Lal Sharma. The protesting MPs raised slogans such as Chadhava Chor, Gaddi Chhod and carried a large placard bearing the words, Who Gave the Order?

Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, in a post on social media platform X, questioned how long Union Home Minister Amit Shah would avoid answering the nation. He alleged that the Home Minister was absent from Parliament while Opposition MPs were protesting at the Makar Dwar of Parliament House. He said the Opposition was seeking a clear explanation regarding who ordered the alleged use of pellet guns against students and why Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi was prevented from speaking in the Lok Sabha.

Opposition MPs asserted that the reported police action against students and the alleged use of pellet guns were serious matters that required a response from the government. They alleged that the government was attempting to suppress the voices of students and demanded accountability over the incidents.
