Guwahati, 30 July (HS): The Assam Education Department has dispatched free textbooks to flood-affected districts to ensure that students can continue their studies without disruption.
Education Minister Ranoj Pegu flagged off the vehicles carrying the textbooks on Thursday. He said that in the first phase, a total of 1.61 lakh free textbooks were sent in seven trucks for distribution among students in the flood-hit areas.
The initiative aims to support children affected by the recent floods and ensure timely availability of study materials before the academic activities resume normally.---------------
