
Guwahati, 30 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said that while the state government is prioritising the safety and well-being of people amid the ongoing flood situation, it remains equally committed to safeguarding Assam's identity and security.
In a post on social media, the Chief Minister stated that as part of the state's ongoing drive against illegal infiltration, 18 illegal infiltrators were pushed back on Wednesday night to protect the identity and security of Assam.
Reiterating the government's firm stand against illegal infiltration, Dr. Sarma said Assam's vigilance remains uncompromising and that the anti-infiltration drive will continue 24×7 with strict enforcement.----------
