
Lucknow, 03 July (HS): On Friday, Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath will open the new campus of the Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Uttar Pradesh
Academy of Administration and Management (UPAAM), the state's premier civil
services training college, located on Sultanpur Road. The facility spans 22
acres and cost more than Rs 464 crore to build. M Devaraj, the institute's
director general, stated that the new campus will change the level of
administrative training in the state. This institution, which is equipped with
contemporary resources and worldwide standards, will play a key role in
educating efficient and sensitive administrative leadership dedicated to good
governance, innovation, and public service, he stated. The center was created to
improve capacity, promote leadership, and provide technology-enabled training
to officers and staff.
Devaraj stated that the campus will boost the state's
capacity development culture and revitalize programs like onboarding and course
completion on the Karmayogi platform.
The campus, which will include training halls, digital learning resources,
sophisticated knowledge facilities, and cutting-edge infrastructure, will be
capable of holding training programs at both the national and international
levels. UPAAM will teach officers and staff on current issues such as good
governance, policy execution, leadership development, innovation, digital
administration, and public service. According to the official, the goal is to
improve administrative efficiency while also increasing the effectiveness of
the citizen-centric government system.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate
the 'Uttar Pradesh Mango Festival-2026' on Friday at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan,
Gomtinagar. This three-day festival will run from July 3 to 5, in which more
than 800 varieties of mangoes will be displayed in 07 categories and 56 sections.
This information was given by Minister of State (Independent Charge) for
Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Foreign Trade and
Agricultural Export, Dinesh Pratap Singh, in a press conference on Thursday. He
informed that for the first time, a mango buyer-seller conference will also be
organised on 04th July at 'Jan Bhawan', Lucknow, so that the gardeners can be
directly connected to the market.
UP CM mentioned in a post on X, “Capable administration and
prosperous farmers are the strong foundation of a 'Developed Uttar Pradesh'. With
this very resolve, today in Lucknow, the inauguration of the state-of-the-art
new campus of the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Uttar Pradesh Administration and
Management Academy—built at a cost exceeding Rs. 464 crore over an area of more
than 22 acres for modern administrative training—will take place. At the same
time, the 9th 'Uttar Pradesh Mango Festival 2026' will be inaugurated, its
commemorative volume will be released, and progressive gardeners will be
honored. This confluence of good governance and agricultural prosperity will
impart new momentum to Uttar Pradesh's journey of development.”
