New Delhi, 03 July (H.S.): The Ministry of Steel will organise an open house on July 9 to deliberate on issues related to steel imports. Companies and industry associations interested in participating may register by sending an email to [tech-steel@nic.in](mailto:tech-steel@nic.in).
In a statement issued on Friday, the Ministry said the open house will be held in the 'Steel Room' on the third floor of GPOA-3 at Netaji Nagar in the national capital. The session will focus on resolving operational issues related to steel imports, including matters concerning the Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS), Simplified Steel Import Monitoring System (SARAL SIMS), and exemptions under the Quality Control Order (QCO).
The Ministry said the open house will be conducted from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Participants will receive their allotted time slots via email. Owing to logistical constraints, entry without a prior appointment will not be permitted. To ensure wider participation, only one representative from each organisation will be allowed to attend.
The Ministry of Steel has advised companies and industry associations facing issues related to SIMS, SARAL SIMS, or QCO exemptions for steel imports to submit their requests via email by 4:00 p.m. on July 6 in order to receive a confirmed time slot for the open house.
