New Delhi, 29 July (H.S.): Gold prices witnessed a sharp decline in domestic bullion markets during early trading on Wednesday, while silver also registered a significant fall. Owing to the correction in prices, gold became cheaper by ₹1,570 to ₹1,740 per 10 grams across most bullion markets in the country. In Chennai and Mumbai, gold prices declined by ₹1,570 to ₹1,710 per 10 grams. Silver prices also fell by as much as ₹5,000 per kilogram.

Following the decline, 24-carat gold was trading between ₹1,44,160 and ₹1,44,310 per 10 grams in most bullion markets across the country. Similarly, 22-carat gold was being sold in the range of ₹1,32,140 to ₹1,32,290 per 10 grams. Silver prices also weakened, with the metal trading at ₹2,34,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.

In the national capital, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,44,310 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,32,290 per 10 grams.

In Mumbai, the country's financial capital, 24-carat gold was available at ₹1,44,160 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹1,32,140 per 10 grams.

In Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold stood at ₹1,44,210 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,32,190 per 10 grams.

Among other major cities, Chennai recorded 24-carat gold at ₹1,44,160 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,32,140 per 10 grams. Kolkata also reported identical prices, with 24-carat gold trading at ₹1,44,160 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,32,140 per 10 grams.

In Bhopal, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,44,210 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was available at ₹1,32,190 per 10 grams.

In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,44,310 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,32,290 per 10 grams. In Patna, the prices stood at ₹1,44,210 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold and ₹1,32,190 per 10 grams for 22-carat gold.

In Lucknow, 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,44,310 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹1,32,290 per 10 grams.

Gold prices also remained under pressure in the bullion markets of Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha. In the state capitals of Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,44,160 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was available at ₹1,32,140 per 10 grams.
