Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, and several other leaders extended their greetings to the people of the country on the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day on Tuesday.

Sharing a message on X, Om Birla said, “On World Nature Conservation Day, let us remember that protecting nature means protecting our future. Nature conservation is not only about saving wildlife but also about safeguarding forests, rivers, clean air, and natural resources for future generations. Every small step matters. Plant trees, conserve water, reduce the use of plastic, and respect wildlife. Let us work together to build a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.”

Nitin Gadkari said that nature is not only humanity’s heritage but also a collective responsibility. He called upon people to pledge to protect forests, rivers, wildlife, and biodiversity through responsible decisions and collective efforts. He said that together, everyone can create a greener, healthier, and sustainable future for coming generations.

Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that nature is the strong foundation of human life and that a prosperous natural environment is essential for a healthy and happy society. He urged people to take steps such as planting trees, avoiding single-use plastic, conserving water and electricity, protecting water bodies, keeping rivers clean, and maintaining hygiene.

Chouhan said that even a small pledge can bring about a major change and appealed to citizens to work towards making the Earth safe for all living beings and future generations.

Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi said that a prosperous planet begins with responsible choices. He called for protecting India’s natural heritage and promoting clean energy solutions that ensure environmental safety while supporting development.

Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar said that clean water, green forests, rich biodiversity, and a balanced environment are the foundations of a developed, self-reliant, and prosperous India. He stressed that adopting an environment-friendly lifestyle and turning conservation into a mass movement can help create a secure and empowered future for future generations.

On the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day, Kumar urged citizens to make environmental protection a part of their daily lives and fulfil their responsibility towards nature.

Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh also appealed to people to pledge to plant more trees, keep the environment clean, and protect natural resources. He called for collective efforts to build a greener and more prosperous future for coming generations.
