New Delhi, 28 July (H.S.): The weekly ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party began on Tuesday morning at the G.M.C. Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament complex. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and several other senior NDA leaders attended the meeting.

Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to address the gathering and is expected to brief MPs on the steps taken by the government regarding the new anti-paper leak law. The meeting is also likely to focus on the government’s legislative agenda and coordination among NDA members during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament.

For the first time, the newly formed Nationalist Citizens Party of India has been invited to the meeting as a special guest. The party comprises 20 MPs who recently separated from the opposition.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, and several other leaders also attended the meeting.

The primary agenda of the ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting includes discussions on coordination among NDA members in Parliament, the government’s legislative strategy, and key bills scheduled to be taken up during the current session.

Following the recent introduction of the Public Examinations (Amendment) Bill, the government is also expected to deliberate on its future parliamentary strategy and measures to strengthen the examination system.
