Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and several other senior NDA leaders attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal gave a presentation on the Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) signed by India with various countries. However, Prime Minister Modi did not address the gathering on this occasion.

Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh ‘Lallan Singh’ also delivered a presentation on the schemes, achievements, and initiatives undertaken by the Department of Fisheries.

After the meeting, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari told the media that lawmakers were briefed about free trade agreements. He said that until 2013-14, India faced high tariff barriers, but today developed countries across the world are engaging in trade with India under free trade agreements.

He added that MPs were also informed about the upcoming education-related legislation and were urged to actively participate in the discussion on the bill.
