New Delhi, 23 July (H.S.): Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, several Union ministers, and Chief Ministers on Thursday paid tribute to legendary revolutionary Chandrashekhar Azad on his birth anniversary, remembering his courage, patriotism and supreme sacrifice. The leaders said Azad's life remains an enduring symbol of selflessness, dignity and unwavering dedication to the motherland, inspiring generations of Indians.

Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan paid homage to Chandrashekhar Azad, describing him as a shining symbol of India's freedom struggle. He said Azad exemplified extraordinary courage and unwavering devotion to the nation. His life inspired countless young Indians to dedicate themselves to the service of the motherland, and his enduring legacy will continue to ignite the spirit of patriotism for generations to come.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also paid heartfelt tributes, saying that Chandrashekhar Azad's entire life, devoted to the nation, would continue to inspire people forever.

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said Chandrashekhar Azad made India's freedom the sole mission of his life and dedicated everything he had to the nation. Referring to the Kakori Train Action, Shah said Azad sent a clear message to British rule that the country's resources belonged only to its people. He also credited Azad with nurturing a generation of revolutionaries that shook the foundations of colonial rule.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said Chandrashekhar Azad not only fought relentlessly against British rule but also instilled self-respect, self-confidence and national consciousness in every Indian. He said Azad's indomitable courage, unwavering resolve and supreme sacrifice infused the freedom movement with renewed strength.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recalled Azad's famous words, We shall face the enemy's bullets; we have lived free and shall remain free, and described him as a devoted son of Mother India and an immortal martyr. He said Azad's sacrifice and dedication would continue to inspire the nation in its service.

Union Minister J.P. Nadda described Chandrashekhar Azad as a symbol of indomitable courage, unmatched valour and unwavering patriotism. He said Azad instilled the spirit of nationalism among the youth and gave fresh direction and momentum to India's freedom movement.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju also paid homage to the revolutionary, saying his unparalleled courage against British rule and his resolve to dedicate everything to India's freedom continue to inspire every Indian to serve the nation.

Bharatiya Janata Party National President Nitin Nabin said Chandrashekhar Azad remained true to his pledge of living and dying free until his final moments and sacrificed everything for the country's independence. He said Azad's life conveys an eternal message of patriotism and self-respect.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma described Chandrashekhar Azad as a symbol of extraordinary courage, exceptional valour and unwavering patriotism. He said Azad's supreme sacrifice and dedication to the nation remain a source of inspiration for every Indian.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said Chandrashekhar Azad, the pride of Madhya Pradesh, infused India's freedom struggle with new energy through his courage and dedication. He added that Azad's sacrifice and patriotic ideals continue to motivate every Indian to serve the nation.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also paid tribute to the immortal freedom fighter, saying his fearless courage, unshakable self-respect and supreme sacrifice for India's independence will forever remain a source of inspiration for the people of the country.
