Dibrugarh (Assam), 22 July (HS): A woman was killed after a speeding dumper truck allegedly rammed into her scooter at Udaypur near Baruah Tini Ali in Duliajan on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Sonmoni Roy, a resident of Digboi-bound Duliajan. According to reports, the accident occurred while she was returning home after shopping at a local market.

Following the incident, police reached the spot and detained the dumper driver and his helper. The dumper involved in the accident has also been seized. Further investigation is underway.----------
