taken against murder accused for illegal construction
Prayagraj, 02 July (HS): Uttar Pradesh Industrial
Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, under the leadership of Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath, visited Kukurkatwa village in the Meja police station
area on Wednesday and presented a cheque of Rs 15 lakh, approved by the Chief
Minister, to the family of the victim of the triple murder. He also handed over
documents for one biswa residential land lease in the name of five family
members. The victim's family had met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the
Chief Minister's residence on Tuesday, accompanied by Minister Nandi, and
sought assistance and security. The Chief Minister assured them of all possible
assistance and strict action against the accused. Within hours of the meeting,
the Chief Minister's Office issued a cheque for financial assistance to the
victim's family.
Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal
Gupta Nandi arrived in Kukurkatwa village in Meja on Wednesday afternoon,
directly from Lucknow, carrying cheques issued by the Chief Minister's Office in
the names of three members of the victim's family. Police Commissioner Jogendra
Singh, District Magistrate Manish Verma, DCP Yamunanagar Vivek Kumar Yadav, and
SDM Meja Neelam Upadhyay were present with their entourage. A large number of
people from the surrounding villages and the region were also present. In their
presence, Minister Nandi presented the documents for one biswa of residential
land leased by the administration to Ramrati, wife of the late Shyam Lal,
Mukesh, son of the late Dudhnath, Ramniranjan, son of the late Gulzar, Saraswati
Devi, wife of the late Manjesh, and Nibbulal, son of the late Gulzar. Under the
Chief Minister's Discretionary Fund, Nibbulal, son of Gulzar, Ramrati, wife of
the late Shyam Lal, and Mukesh, son of the late Dudhnath, were each presented
with cheques for Rs. five lakh. Administrative officials informed them that a
road would be constructed to access the victim's house.
It was reported that the illegal constructions made by the
accused will also be demolished with bulldozers. Legal action has been taken
for this and a notice has been issued. After the notice period expires on July
6th, demolition action will also be taken against the accused's illegal
constructions.
Minister Nandi, along with senior officials, met with the
victim's family and assured them that the entire government, under the
leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, stands with them. Ensuring speedy
justice for everyone and the strongest possible action against the perpetrators
is a top priority of our government.
Shyam Lal Gupta (65), Indravati Devi (58), and Amravati Devi
(52) were brutally murdered on the night of June 15 in Kukurkatwa village, Meja
police station area. Their bodies were found outside their home. Police have
arrested three people in the case, including the main accused, Himanshu Yadav.
Himanshu was hospitalized after being injured in a police encounter.
On June 19th, Cabinet Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi met
with the families of the victims of the triple murder in Neebi Kukurkatwa
village in Meja and assured them of justice. He also promised to arrange a
meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Minister Nandi stated that not a
single person responsible for such a daring act would be spared. The action would
be such that it would set an example and be remembered for seven generations.
He stated that accused would repent a hundred times before attempting such a
daring act again, and that strict action would be taken against the culprits.
Fulfilling his promise, Minister Nandi arranged a meeting
with the Chief Minister on Wednesday for the families of the victims of the
Meja triple murder case. Those present included Ram Niranjan Gupta, Amarnath
Gupta, Pawan Gupta, Mukesh Gupta, Vishesh Gupta, Radha Gupta, Lokpati Gupta,
and Chandrika Prasad Sahu. The victim's family informed the Chief Minister of
threats from the accused and the fear of loss of life and property. They also
demanded financial assistance and bulldozer action against the accused.
The Chief Minister expressed his condolences and assured
them that justice would be served. The government is operating under a
zero-tolerance policy. No accused will be spared. The murderers will receive
the harshest punishment. The government stands fully with the victim's family.
They will be provided with all possible security.
Minister Nandi is keen on speedy justice: Industrial
Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, under
the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath, is always active in providing speedy justice and
assistance to the people in the double engine government. In January 2025,
Ayush Kesarwani, son of businessman Ashok Kumar Kesarwani, resident of Bargarh
Bazaar in Chitrakoot district, was brutally murdered. The victim's family, led
by Minister Nandi, met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to seek disclosure of the
murder and arrest of the accused. Within a few hours, the accused, Kallu, was
killed in a police encounter. Another accused, Irfan, was shot in the leg. The
victim's family expressed satisfaction at receiving speedy justice.
A few years ago, on getting information about the murder of
a bullion trader in Mau Ranipur of Jhansi, Minister Nandi went to the spot and
met the victim's family. After which strict action was taken against the
murderer. The police took prompt action and arrested the accused. Similarly, on
getting information about a fire in the residence and establishment of traders
Raj Kumar Kesarwani and Sanjeev Kumar Kesarwani, residents of Nai Bazar in Chak
Raghunath of Naini, Minister Nandi went to the spot and met the victim's
family. While providing financial assistance approved by the government,
financial assistance was also provided on the initiative of Nandi Seva Sansthan
and Vaishya International Association.
