New Delhi, 02 July (H.S.):The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday raised fresh allegations concerning alleged land-related irregularities involving Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, businessman Robert Vadra and the Gandhi-Vadra family. Party National Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari claimed that several land-related cases involving Robert Vadra are being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and other agencies, while multiple matters remain pending before various courts.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters, Bhandari alleged that the Gandhi-Vadra family's real business was neither politics nor legitimate enterprise, but grabbing land belonging to ordinary people.
Referring to a property in Uttarakhand, Bhandari said there is a four-acre parcel of land known as Khan Farm Estate in Kichha, Udham Singh Nagar district. He claimed that the original land deed is in the name of Kulsum Khan and that her 90-year-old sister, Nasreen Khan, currently resides there. He further alleged that despite portraying themselves as well-wishers of the Muslim community, the Gandhi-Vadra family does not spare anyone's land.
The BJP spokesperson said Nasreen Khan has alleged that she is a 90-year-old Muslim woman and that certain Congress workers were attempting to facilitate the alleged occupation of her farmland on behalf of the Vadra family. According to Bhandari, the woman stated, They came to take possession of my farmland for the Vadra family.
Bhandari further alleged that under what he described as the Gandhi-Vadra model, properties had been acquired by illegally occupying land belonging to ordinary citizens. He said that if the allegations made by the elderly woman are found to be true, the matter is extremely serious and warrants an impartial investigation.
He also urged the concerned investigating agencies to conduct a thorough probe into the allegations and take appropriate action against those found responsible.
