New Delhi, 18 July (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed his happiness over Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace’s historic mission to launch India’s first privately developed indigenous satellite using a private company’s launch vehicle. He extended his best wishes to the entire Skyroot Aerospace team ahead of the launch of the Vikram-1 rocket.

In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi wrote, “My best wishes to the entire Skyroot Aerospace team for a successful launch. May Vikram-1 soar to new heights, create history, and inspire a generation of innovators.”

The Prime Minister said, “Today at 11:30 am, Skyroot Aerospace will conduct the first orbital launch of India’s first privately developed launch vehicle, ‘Vikram-1’. This four-stage rocket has been designed to provide rapid and on-demand launch services.”

He said the mission reflects the talent, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit of India’s youth. It also demonstrates how reforms in the country’s space sector are creating new opportunities for innovation and enterprise.

Prime Minister Modi urged all Indians, especially young citizens, to witness the historic mission and extend their best wishes to Team Skyroot by using the hashtag #IndiaWithVikram1.

It may be noted that Skyroot Aerospace is a Hyderabad-based space technology company. The company has named the mission “Mission Aagman Vikram-1”. The launch of the Vikram-1 rocket is scheduled for Saturday at 11:30 am from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
