TEHRAN, July 18 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Iranian forces struck a fuel support pier at a Kuwaiti port that supplies the US Navy, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Saturday.

During the 19th wave of Operation Nasr 2, drones and missiles struck the US Navy's fuel support pier at the port of Al Ahmadi, as well as the deployment site of combat aircraft at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, in retaliation for last night's aggression, the IRGC said in a statement.

Overnight into June 18, Tehran and Washington remotely signed a memorandum of understanding that provides for an end to the military conflict. However, since July 8, US forces have carried out several series of strikes on Iran. The US Central Command claimed the strikes were in response to Iranian actions against commercial vessels crossing the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian forces responded with strikes on US bases in the Middle East.
