Bhubaneswar, 17 July (H.S.): In view of incessant heavy rainfall over the past two days, the Sonepur district administration has declared a holiday for all schools and colleges across the district on Thursday as a precautionary measure.

Acting on the directions of District Collector Nruparaj Sahu, District Emergency Officer Chittaranjan Mishra instructed the District Education Officer early this morning to suspend academic activities in all educational institutions. Following the directive, District Education Officer Meenarani Pradhan issued an official order declaring a holiday for all government and private schools as well as colleges in the district.
