
Sonitpur (Assam), 17 July (HS): The century-old Majbat Railway Station in Assam has been transformed into a modern railway facility under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to virtually inaugurate the redeveloped station today through video conferencing.
The station has been upgraded with modern passenger amenities while preserving its significance as a key railway hub in the region. The redevelopment has been carried out at an estimated cost of around ₹10 crore.
Majbat Railway Station is the second railway station in Assam to be modernised under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, marking another milestone in the state's railway infrastructure development and improved passenger connectivity.------------
