Bhubaneswar, 17 July (H.S.): Security was tightened at the district court premises in Jagatsinghpur and Jharsuguda on Friday after both received bomb threats via email, triggering panic and swift administrative response.

According to preliminary reports, an unidentified individual sent emails threatening to blow up the court complexes. Acting promptly, local authorities escalated security measures and initiated emergency protocols at both locations.

Police teams, bomb disposal squads, and specialized units were immediately deployed to the premises. A comprehensive search operation is currently underway, with every section of the court complexes being thoroughly examined. Suspicious items, if any, are being closely monitored.

A cyber investigation has also been launched to trace the origin of the threatening emails and identify those responsible.

Officials confirmed that no explosives have been found during initial searches. However, authorities continue to remain on high alert, and precautionary measures have been put in place to prevent any potential threat.
