
Guwahati, 17 July (HS): The Assam government has dismissed ACS officer Arup Kumar Chakraborty following allegations of violating service rules while serving in the Assam Goverment.
According to the Dismissal order, Chakraborty is accused of breaching government service conduct rules. The allegations include remaining absent from election-related meetings, staying away from office without prior permission and being absent despite being assigned HSLC examination duties, Drinking in duty hours etc..
The Dismissal has been issued with the approval of the Governor of Assam.
The order further states that he will not be eligible to hold any government post or be considered for appointment to another government job in future also.------------
