
Lucknow, 16 July (HS): Uttar Pradesh Urban Development and
Energy Minister A.K. Sharma heard the problems of people from various districts
at a public hearing held at his official residence in Lucknow on Thursday.
During the public hearing, public issues including electricity bill revisions,
new electricity connections, transformer installation, drinking water,
sewerage, sanitation, encroachment, and other public problems came to the fore.
Taking each case seriously, Minister Sharma directed the
concerned officials to ensure prompt, quality, and timely resolution of
complaints. He clearly stated that any form of negligence in resolving public
problems will not be tolerated and that every complaint should be resolved with
sensitivity and accountability.
To make the public hearing more effective, Minister Sharma
specifically instructed senior officials from the Energy Department to be
present today. Following his instructions, UPPCL Director (Commercial) Dhyan
Mathai and Director (Technical) G.D. Dwivedi attended the public hearing.
Minister Sharma gave strict instructions to both officials to review
electricity-related complaints on the spot and ensure quality and lasting
solutions.
