
New Delhi, 16 July (H.S.): Gold prices traded higher across India's domestic bullion markets during early trading on Thursday, while silver remained unchanged for the fourth consecutive day.
Except for Chennai, gold prices rose by ₹720 to ₹790 per 10 grams in most major bullion markets across the country. In Chennai, however, the increase was relatively moderate, with prices rising by ₹320 to ₹340 per 10 grams.
Following the upward movement, 24-carat gold was trading between ₹1,43,580 and ₹1,43,790 per 10 grams in most bullion markets. Similarly, 22-carat gold was priced between ₹1,31,610 and ₹1,31,810 per 10 grams.
With no change in silver prices, the white metal continued to trade at ₹2,34,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.
In the national capital, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,43,730 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,31,760 per 10 grams.
In Mumbai, the country's financial capital, 24-carat gold was selling at ₹1,43,580 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,31,610 per 10 grams.
In Ahmedabad, retail prices stood at ₹1,43,630 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold and ₹1,31,660 per 10 grams for 22-carat gold.
Among other major cities, Chennai recorded the highest prices, with 24-carat gold trading at ₹1,43,790 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,31,810 per 10 grams.
In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,43,580 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was available at ₹1,31,610 per 10 grams.
In Bhopal, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,43,630 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,31,660 per 10 grams.
In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,43,730 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,31,760 per 10 grams.
In Patna, 24-carat gold was selling at ₹1,43,630 per 10 grams, with 22-carat gold trading at ₹1,31,660 per 10 grams.
In Lucknow, 24-carat gold was available at ₹1,43,730 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹1,31,760 per 10 grams.
Gold prices also witnessed a similar upward trend in the bullion markets of Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha. In the state capitals of Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,43,580 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,31,610 per 10 grams.
