Controversial hoarding in Barabanki

Barabanki, 14 July (HS): The political atmosphere in the

city has once again heated up due to the installation of a controversial hoarding.

The hoarding placed at a major intersection, depicted Samajwadi Party founder

and former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and party national president

Akhilesh Yadav wearing Muslim skull caps. The billboard also featured the words

Babar in the heart, Ram in the mouth.

When people noticed the hoarding on Tuesday morning, the

matter escalated. Samajwadi Party workers were outraged upon receiving the

information. SP leader Taj Baba Rain arrived at the scene with a large number

of supporters. The angry workers, shouting slogans, tore down the controversial

hoarding and posters.

SP leaders called it a conspiracy to tarnish the party's

image and disrupt social harmony. Taj Baba Rain said this action reflects the frustration

of opponents. He demanded that the administration take strict action against

those who put up the hoardings.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the city

police station arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control. Police

Inspector Sudhir Singh stated that the hoarding has been seized and an

investigation has been initiated. CCTV footage is being examined. Upon

receiving a complaint, a case will be filed and action will be taken against

the accused.

It's worth noting that controversial hoardings like this

have been put up in Barabanki before, amid the election atmosphere. Repeated

incidents like these have raised the political temperature in the district. The

administration has increased vigilance in the city and appealed for peace and

order.
