
New Delhi, 13 July (H.S.): The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment will celebrate the third NAMASTE Day on Tuesday, July 14, marking three years of the launch of the National Action for Mechanised Sanitation Ecosystem (NAMASTE) Scheme, introduced in 2023.
The main event, along with the Divya Kala Mela, will be held at Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata, West Bengal. Simultaneously, parallel programmes will be organised across Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) throughout the country.
Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar and Minister of State Ramdas Athawale are expected to attend the programme in Kolkata. West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, ministers, Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly, senior officials from the Central and State governments, representatives of the district administration, the National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation, and other distinguished dignitaries are also expected to participate in the celebrations.
