
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, 13 July (HS): Food and
Drug Administration seized edible oil worth Rs 2.93 crore from two repacking
units in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, suspecting that the oil is substandard.
The action was taken under Safe Food, Safe
Maharashtra mission. The FDA authorities found insanitary condition, reuse of
old tins, dust on machinery, lack of food grade certificate, lack of quality
testing facility, etc.
The samples were sent for laboratory testing.
