
New Delhi, 13 July (H.S.): The Delhi Government has renamed the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana as the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana. Under the scheme, eligible women between the ages of 21 and 60 will receive financial assistance of Rs 2,500 per month.
The Delhi Government has approved the change in the scheme's name, and it is expected to be launched on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan on August 28.
To be eligible for benefits under the scheme, applicants must have no criminal record, must have been residents of Delhi for at least 10 years, and their family's annual income must not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.
The scheme is expected to benefit nearly 1.7 million women across the national capital.
