Guwahati, 13 July (HS): Assam has become the first state in the country to generate a Fund Transfer Order (FTO) under the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G), marking a major national milestone. The state has also become the first to initiate wage transfers to job card holders, along with timely payments to suppliers and administrative expenses.

The Panchayat and Rural Development Department launched the payment process from Tingkhong Development Block in Dibrugarh district. The scheme guarantees 125 days of employment, provides rural employment cards, enables direct wage payments and promotes transparent implementation through QR-enabled smart cards and improved rural infrastructure.----------
