
Bhubaneswar, 13 July (H.S.): Odisha Vigilance officials on Monday conducted simultaneous searches at seven locations associated with Sanjay Kumar Kispatta, Executive Engineer of Odisha Construction Corporation (OCC) Ltd., Bhubaneswar, in connection with an alleged disproportionate assets (DA) case.
The raids were carried out following allegations that Kispatta had amassed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. He had earlier served as Assistant Executive Engineer at the Project Administrator’s office of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Koraput.
A Vigilance team comprising six Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), eight Inspectors, seven Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) and other supporting personnel is conducting the searches based on warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge, Jeypore.
The searches are being carried out at multiple locations linked to Kispatta, including his rented residential premises at Tikra Sahi behind Mutyalu Maa Temple in Koraput. Vigilance officials are also examining a four-storeyed commercial building located at Plot No. 71, Khata No. 125/2790, in Kumbha-I area of Koraput town.
The team is also searching an under-construction residential property at Kumbha-II in Koraput, along with his parental residence at Lateimunda village under Lahunipada police station limits in Sundargarh district. Another under-construction three-storeyed building at Lateimunda village is also part of the ongoing operation.
Apart from these locations, searches are underway at Kispatta’s residential quarter and office chamber in Bhubaneswar, as well as his residential quarter and office chamber in Balangir.
The Vigilance department said the searches are currently in progress and further details regarding the assets recovered, documents seized and other findings will be disclosed after completion of the operation.
