New Delhi, July 11 (HS): An online Family Inter-Faith Devotional will be held on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 6:40 p.m. (IST), bringing together people from different religious backgrounds to pray for world peace, unity and the well-being of humanity.
Hosted by Christine and Kazem, the online devotional seeks to provide an inclusive platform for families, friends and neighbours from diverse faiths to come together in a spirit of mutual respect, harmony and spiritual reflection. The organisers said the Zoom invitation link would be shared with participants before the programme.
The event will include prayers, devotional readings and reflections highlighting the shared values of love, compassion, peace and service that are common to different faith traditions.
Speaking about the initiative, Christine said the devotional is based on the belief that every religion promotes love, compassion and peace. She said collective prayer becomes a powerful expression of hope during times of conflict and uncertainty and helps strengthen the bonds of humanity beyond religious differences.
Kazem said inter-faith devotion is about building bridges rather than barriers and offers an opportunity to appreciate diverse spiritual traditions while recognising shared values such as kindness, justice, forgiveness and service. He invited people from all faiths to join the programme in the spirit of peace and understanding.
Welcoming the initiative, Amit Deshmukh, Founder of MMJP Global Wellness, said dialogue among different faith communities is essential for promoting social harmony and peaceful coexistence. He said such programmes encourage mutual respect and reinforce the universal values of compassion and service.
The organisers said participants from different religious and cultural backgrounds are expected to join the online gathering in a collective prayer for global peace and unity.
