Washington, 11 July (H.S.): U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Iran on Friday, saying the United States would respond forcefully if any attempt were made to assassinate him. Trump made the remarks in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social.

According to Russia's international television network RT (Russia Today), Trump claimed that the U.S. military has already been given the necessary instructions should Iran carry out any assassination or assassination attempt against him. He said the United States is prepared to take decisive military action in such a scenario.

In his Truth Social post on Friday, Trump wrote: “One thousand missiles are locked and loaded against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and thousands more can be launched immediately if the Iranian government carries out its threat, made in multiple locations around the world, to assassinate or attempt to assassinate the current President of the United States — namely, me!” However, he did not present any evidence to support his claims.

Meanwhile, Iranian authorities have not officially confirmed issuing any threat to assassinate Trump. However, media reports have indicated that anti-Trump slogans and posters have been displayed during several public events held in Iran in recent days.

According to one report, Israel had warned the United States about an alleged potential threat against Trump. However, no detailed official information regarding the matter has been made public.

Notably, tensions between the United States and Iran have continued to escalate in recent weeks. Rhetoric between the two countries has intensified over regional security, the safety of maritime routes, and military activities.

On the other hand, the source text states that the United States and Israel killed dozens of senior Iranian officials and military commanders during their bombing campaign, including Iran's long-serving Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who it says was killed in a targeted strike on his compound in Tehran on February 28.
