Gold prices witnessed a strong upward trend during early trading in the domestic bullion market on Friday, while silver prices registered a sharp decline. Except for Chennai, gold prices across most bullion markets in the country increased by ₹1,220 to ₹1,330 per 10 grams. In Chennai, however, the yellow metal recorded a comparatively lower rise of ₹720 to ₹780 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, silver prices plunged by a substantial ₹10,000 per kilogram during early trade.

Following the latest increase, 24-carat gold was trading between ₹1,44,450 and ₹1,45,320 per 10 grams across most bullion markets in the country. Similarly, 22-carat gold was selling in the range of ₹1,32,410 to ₹1,33,210 per 10 grams. Owing to the steep decline in silver prices, the white metal was trading at ₹2,34,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.

In the national capital, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,44,600 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,32,560 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the country's financial capital, 24-carat gold was selling at ₹1,44,450 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,32,410 per 10 grams. In Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold stood at ₹1,44,500 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was available at ₹1,32,460 per 10 grams.

Among other major cities, 24-carat gold in Chennai was trading at ₹1,45,320 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,33,210 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was selling at ₹1,44,450 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,32,410 per 10 grams. In Bhopal, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,44,500 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹1,32,460 per 10 grams.

In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was available at ₹1,44,600 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was selling at ₹1,32,560 per 10 grams. In Patna, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,44,500 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,32,460 per 10 grams. In Lucknow, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,44,600 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was selling at ₹1,32,560 per 10 grams.

Gold prices also moved higher in the bullion markets of Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha, in line with the trend seen across the country. In the capital cities of Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,44,450 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,32,410 per 10 grams.
