Guwahati, 01 July (HS): Guwahati Police arrested three alleged drug peddlers during a raid in the Birubari–Shankarpur area of the city and seized 156.77 grams of heroin, cash and mobile phones from their possession.

Acting on specific intelligence, a West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) team from Fatasil Ambari Police Station conducted the operation on Wednesday. The arrested accused have been identified as Nurul Haque (39) of Panbazar, Nitesh Singh (21) of Fancy Bazar and Saleha Bibi (27) of Panbazar.

During the raid, police recovered and seized 127 vials of heroin weighing 156.77 grams, cash amounting to ₹1,14,082 and three mobile phones.

Police have initiated legal proceedings against the accused, and further investigation into the case is underway.-----------
