Anantapur, July 1 (HS): President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday urged students to use their education to empower the underprivileged and contribute to building an inclusive and developed India.

Addressing the first convocation of the Central University of Andhra Pradesh in Anantapur, the President said education should become a means of serving society and uplifting those in need.

You have the responsibility to give back to society. Let your learning become a source of strength for the underprivileged, she said.

The President described India's youth as the country's greatest national asset and said their knowledge, innovation, resilience and sense of responsibility would play a crucial role in achieving the goal of a developed India by 2047.

She said the vision of Viksit Bharat could be realised only through the energy, talent and commitment of the younger generation.

Murmu noted that a convocation marks an important milestone in the lives of students, symbolising years of dedication, perseverance and hard work.

Expressing confidence in the future of the institution, she said the Central University of Andhra Pradesh would emerge as a centre of academic excellence and contribute significantly to higher education and national development.
