Guwahati, 01 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday urged people to actively participate in environmental conservation by planting trees and protecting wildlife as part of the Van Mahotsav celebrations.

In a social media message, the Chief Minister said that every small or big step taken towards protecting the environment is a meaningful commitment to future generations. He called upon citizens to strengthen their bond with nature by taking part in tree plantation drives and giving priority to the protection of wildlife.

Dr. Sarma emphasized that building a greener Assam requires collective participation and appealed to people from all sections of society to contribute towards the state's environmental conservation efforts during the Van Mahotsav campaign.-----------
