Guwahati, 08 June (HS): The trial proceedings in the sensational Zubeen murder case is going to commence from today in a special fast-track court, marking a significant step in the legal process surrounding the case.

On the very first day of the hearing, the court is scheduled to examine and assess the testimonies of four witnesses. Their statements are expected to play an important role in the ongoing trial.

Among those summoned to depose before the court are the then Superintendent of Police of Morigaon, Hemanta Kumar Das, and the complainant, Ratul Bora.

The court has also called Morigaon Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Pranab Saikia and Sub-Inspector Bhaskar Barman to record their testimonies as part of the evidence evaluation process. The trial is being closely watched as it enters a crucial phase in the fast-track court.
