Lucknow, 08 June (HS): Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of
Uttar Pradesh, shots off an open letter (Yogi's Pati) to residents, encouraging
them to research and document their natural surroundings, as well as actively
assist in the protection of habitats for birds, insects, and wildlife. Uttar
Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision for environmental conservation
and biodiversity is centered on large-scale tree plantations and wetland protection,
as articulated in his open letters, known as Yogi Ki Pati, which
link nature preservation directly to ancient cultural values and tradition.
Open letters (Yogi's Pati) urge residents to view environmental
conservation as an ongoing responsibility rather than an annual ritual.
While penning a post on X, he opined, “My esteemed fellow
citizens of the state, in the eternal culture, every living being of nature is
regarded as an integral part of creation. Efforts to conserve biodiversity will
succeed only when public participation increases. I urge everyone that whenever
the opportunity arises to venture into the midst of nature, do not go merely as
a tourist, but rather examine that place with the curiosity of a student. Share
your experiences through vlogs and articles. Awareness and a sense of belonging
toward nature are the greatest protectors of our biodiversity.”
